Western Student Connections services schools in the Dubbo, Warrumbungle, Bourke and Broken Hill school education groups of Western New South Wales Region (NSW). We commenced business in October 2002 (as Macquarie Darling Work Placement Incorporated) to facilitate structured work placements to students in years 11 and 12.
Initially 950 students and 200 local employers were involved. By 2008 we had 1200 students and over 650 employers.
In 2010, Western Student Connections will coordinate Structured Workplace Learning for VET students in our four service regions and coordinate School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships for Dubbo, Warrumbungle and Bourke DET schools.
